About us

Every deploy deserves a straight answer.

Teams ship several times a week and rarely know what a release did to speed. We built CodeGecko to answer one question after every deploy: did this make the site faster or slower for the people using it?

Why we exist

Performance tools tell you a score. We wanted to know what changed.

Every tool we tried could show a number. None could say, with confidence, whether last Tuesday’s deploy was the one that slowed checkout. So we built the comparison first, and everything else around it.

  1. 01

    Lab scores aren’t your visitors.

A Lighthouse run on a fast laptop says little about a mid-range phone on a train. We measure the people who actually load your pages.

  2. 02

    Averages hide the slow page.

A site-wide “fine” can sit on top of a product page that got 25% slower. Every comparison breaks down by page and device.

  3. 03

    Regressions surface weeks late.

By the time a dashboard trend looks off, ten releases have shipped. We compare each release with the one before, as soon as there’s enough data.

What we believe

Six rules we build by.

They’re why the product says less than other tools, and why you can trust what it does say.

Read the methodology
  • Real visitors, not lab runs

Core Web Vitals from the browsers that load your site, at the 75th percentile.

  • “Inconclusive” is an answer

Under 30 visits on either release, we say so instead of guessing.

  • Rules, not AI guesses

Three published questions decide every verdict. No causal claims we can’t back up.

  • Privacy by default

No query strings, no fragments, no personal segments. Secrets are stored as hashes.

  • Small to set up

One script tag and one CI step. Your next two releases are your first comparison.

  • Every feature, every plan

Plans differ in projects, traffic and history. Never in what you can see.

Why a gecko?

Small, fast, and notices everything.

Geckos spot the slightest movement and hold on where others slip. That’s the job: catch the small regression before it becomes the slow site.

Quick
A verdict within minutes of enough data.
Notices small moves
Changes past a per-metric floor, not just big swings.
Sticks around
Watches every release, not just the launch.
